David J. Smith Boats have built many pleasure crafts as well as commercial vessels for lobstering, irish moss harvesting and clamming. We mold and custom finish the SmithSkiff 14, 16, 18, 22, 24 and 26. These Cape Island boats can be used as open boats with or without console, or a full wheelhouse/pilot house with bunks in the cuddy. Boats are available at any stage of completion or as finished products. We build each boat to meet the owner's exact specifications while reflecting the traditional Cape Island style boat.
